Madonna took her two daughters Lourdes, 13, and Mercy, 4 to the first brick laying ceremony for the Raising Malawi Academy for Girls, which Madonna is a school for girls in Malawi that Madonna has founded. Madonna laid the first brick which had an inscription that read, “DARE TO DREAM.” The singer says that it had long been her dream to build a girl’s school. The academy is set to open in 2011 and will help 500 orphaned girls.
