Actor Joseph Fiennes and his wife model Maria Dolores Dieguez welcomed their first child, a daughter, on Monday, March 8th. The couple, who married last year in Tuscany, announced the pregnancy last fall and said that they were “utterly thrilled.” Joseph is most commonly known for his role in Shakespeare in Love and the television show FlashForward.

At around 1:30pm this afternoon, I found myself shut in a bathroom stall at my office sobbing uncontrollably, feeling deep pain for a family I never met, a family I feel ever so close too just by watching from a far {along with thousands upon thousands of others} as they embarked on a journey of pure faith, as they made the decision to update the world on a continuous basis of their precious daughter’s fight against cancer.
